Begin with your mattress.
Bedding is designed around the dimensions of the mattress beneath it. Knowing your mattress width, length and depth gives you a clearer starting point when choosing fitted sheets, flat sheets, duvet covers, comforters and other layered essentials.
If your mattress includes a topper or has an especially deep profile, measure the complete height from the bottom edge of the mattress to the top of the sleeping surface before selecting fitted bedding.
